Orange, CA – February 9, 2016 - IntelliPower, Inc., a world class leader in the design and development of rugged uninterruptible power systems (UPS), is proud to announce that it has been selected as a key supplier to the U.S. Navy CANES program, formally known as Consolidated Afloat Networks and Enterprise Services. The company will be displaying the feature rich solutions at the San Diego Convention Center at this year’s West 2016 exposition.
The U.S. Navy fleet CANES program is designed to streamline and modernize shipboard IT systems and networks to improve interoperability. CANES will consolidate five shipboard legacy network programs into one with a common computing environment for shipboard, submarine and shore-based command, control, communications, computers and intelligence (C4I) network systems to increase capability and affordability across the fleet.
Incorporated within the CANES systems are IntelliPower’s reliable and rugged power solutions designed specifically for military and shipboard applications. Included are three UPS products that have power ratings of 1500 VA/1350 W, 3000 VA/2700 W and 6000 VA/4500 W, each packed with superior features and benefits such as galvanic isolation, hot swap battery drawers, power factor correction and IntelliPower’s SNMP communications software which supports VMWare virtualization with graceful shutdown of network system elements.
Also within CANES systems are two IntelliPower external lead acid battery packs (EBPs) with hot swap battery drawers as well as four power distribution units (PDU) with varying load connection options to expand the usage of the UPS systems’ output power when multiple devices (loads) are required. “With over 27 years of providing rugged and extreme environment power protection solutions to the United States military, IntelliPower is honored to be part of an essential Navy realignment and upgrade of operational capability,” said Bill Shipman, CEO of IntelliPower. “We would like to invite everyone attending West 2016 to visit booth number 1218 to preview these and other products as well as meet with industry experts that will answer questions and provide more information.”
